The End of Summer

The end of the summer is here.  I've spent the last couple of weeks looking through teachers pay teachers and Pinterest for ideas and things to use in my classroom.  Let me tell you, I have a ton of things I want to try this year.  When it comes to writing many of the ideas come from this wonderful blog I stumbled upon, which just so happens to be having a pretty cool giveaway right now.  Check it out here: http://teachingwithloveandlaughter.blogspot.com/2013/08/create-classroom-community-and-learning.html.  I'll be sharing pictures of my room and the awesome ideas I've been getting soon.  Tomorrow is the first official day back for teachers (although I've already been out to my school several times and am getting ready to head out there again today).  Thursday night is open house so I'm getting everything ready to meet my new babies and their parents.  So many ideas to put into action...so little time.

Summer's Here!!!

Yesterday was my first official day of summer vacation.  Excited summer is here, but I know part of my summer will be spent planning and thinking about next year.  I've started this blog to share my thoughts, ideas, and details of daily life with others.  I am currently a first grade teacher (and first grade chair) who just finished my second year of teaching.  I am also attending University of Phoenix online to obtain my Masters of Education in Teacher Leadership.  I just started this program, so I have a ways to go still.  In the midst of all of this, I am also planning my wedding for the summer of 2014.  Hope y'all enjoy everything there is to come.
